I was amazed at how big the difference is between the two routines. So much that I wondered why bubblesort was so slow.
I was looking at your code and found a few bugs you had in your bubblesort routine. After fixing it, bubblesort is now faster than quicksort!
Just kidding. It now finishes 500 numbers in 4.1 s instead of 6.8 s.
