Here’s how you can store more than 64 tiles using one single layer. If you’re not as lazy as me you can actually make really nice things with more than 64 tiles.
Controls:
A – Tile number + 1
B – Tile number + 100
Arrows – Move tile
Pause – Show tilemap and tile position
